Remember the dialogue in the movie
Deewar (the old one) said by Amitabh Bachchan when he is asked to sign some papers by his
screen brother Shashi Kapoor. ‘Jao pehle us aadmi ka sign lekar aao jisne mere
haath pe yeh likh diya tha ... uske baad mere bhai tum jis kagaz pe kahoge main
uspe sign kar doonga’.
The character means that he has been wronged and he wants the people who had wronged him to be punished first before he accepts his crimes and is punished for those. Classic example of playing the blame game and having a holier than thou attitude.

This
dialogue has been modified by most present day politicians to suit their
status. Whenever they are asked about some wrong doing or crime that they had
allegedly committed, instead of accepting or denying these allegations they
simply point to alleged wrong doings or crimes of their political opponents. They
say that their opponents need to be punished first before they are even charged
for their crimes.
What
is appalling is that if in case their opponents were not punished for some
crime they start justifying their own actions and give an impression that they
also need not be punished.
Talk
about two wrongs making a right. Well this is not arithmetic where addition of
two negative integers results in a positive integer.
The
politicians think that the audience are stupid and will respect and accept
whatever they say. Well it seems in most cases the politicians are correct in
their assessment of the public.
The people are fooled to believe these
politicians as can be seen from the various arguments the common people get
into over different issues. The common people get so much engrossed in arguing
their cases, against each other through various media (social media being one
of the favorites), that they miss the whole plot that the politicians play in
taking our attention off from the real issues of development or the lack of it.
Haha.. Good one.. Nice comparison..
